Venice ancient Jewish quarter and the bacaros of Cannaregio district

Fancy a "Merchant of Venice" experience? Learn about the world's first Jewish quarter and its amazing history. See the world first skyscrapers and try kosher cookies.
I dare you to spot the hidden ancient synagogues!

Feel the atmosphere of everyday busy yet-very-local life in Cannaregio district and try the typical Venetian tapas in a real "bacaro": the shabbier the better!

The itinerary will wind through streets, bridges and small squares from your hotel (or where you prefer) to Ghetto Novissimo, Novo and Vechio (the newest, the new and the old). You will learn all my secrets about the world's first officially recognized Jewish settlement with its rules and every-lively-day life in a tolerant and cosmopolitan 16th century Venice.

Strolling through Cannaregio area I will show you the real city where locals shop for food at small open air markets or take a break with a "spritz" (before-meals cocktail) and a "cicheto" (typical Venitian tapa).

According to the meeting point most suitable for you we can approach the area either from east or west but not to worry: you won't miss a thing!

The tasting will take place either at the popular Jewish bakery or in a typical bacaro depending on the sweet or savoury palate of the guests!

Small groups from 2 to 6 people. The price is for the full experience.
