The National Museum; at the National Museum visit the most complete fossil of human ancestor so far discovered, the fossil of Lucy (Ethiopians prefer to call her Dinkinesh means you are wonderful), the collection of artifacts, heritages, paintings and various material objects that represents the long history, culture, economy, art and life of the nation.
    2. The Trinity Cathedral Church; the Trinity Cathedral is the biggest Orthodox Church in the country. Baroque style in architecture. The interior part of the church and the glasses has impressive paintings. You can see the tomb of the late emperor Haileselassie I, and his wife who was buried in the church.

    3. Merkato-is the largest open-air market in Africa where one can get everything for shopping or looking on the way one can visit different quarters of the capital, the so-called educational village, the communication complex, and different historically important monuments.

    4. . Entoto hilltop - this hill was the capital of king Minilik.  It is the best point to overlook the capital and its surroundings.

    5. George Cathedral Church - Commissioned by Emperor Menelik II to commemorate his stunning 1896 defeat of the Italians in Adwa, and dedicated to St George (Ethiopia’s patron saint), whose icon was carried into the battle, this Piazza cathedral is one of Addis' most beautiful churches. The grey stone exterior is easily outdone by the interior’s flashes of colour and art. Sections of ceiling glow sky-blue and boast gilded stars, while the outer walls of the innermost shrine are covered in paintings and mosaics by the renowned Afewerk Tekle.

    6. Ethnological Museum - Set within Haile Selassie’s former palace, and surrounded by the beautiful gardens and fountains of the university’s main campus, is the enthralling Ethnological Museum. It’s easily one of the finest museums in Africa, showing the full sweep of Ethiopia's cultural and social history across two floors.
