This 6 Days Budget Camping Safari features the open plains of the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve for unparalleled game viewing in one of Africa’s best game parks, famous for its annual migration of Wildebeests and Zebras, the pink waters of Lake Nakuru home to millions of lesser and greater flamingoes. Amboseli game viewing with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro at the backdrop. Amboseli is a compact game park, abundant in wildlife, which makes for some excellent game viewing.
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will depart from your hotel and heading for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, via the viewpoint on the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch. After lunch You will then have a little siesta and proceed on a couple of hours of game viewing in Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will return back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is a scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for games in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. There will be a break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. The dinner and overnight will be at the camp.
Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nakuru
After breakfast, you will depart the Mara region for Nakuru arriving in time for lunch with scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. After lunch you will proceed to the game drive up to 6:30 in the evening before coming back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Your accommodation will be at a budget hotel.
Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific bird life including flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhinos while species like Cape buffalos and waterbucks can be seen near the shoreline.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Amboseli National Park with packed lunch arriving in the late evening with game viewing en-route to the camp. Dinner and overnight will be at the Amboseli Centrim Camp or Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp.
Day 5: Amboseli National Park
You will have a full day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, and birds can also be seen. You can also see Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak if weather conditions permit.
Amboseli National Park is in southern part of Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli. Amboseli National Park offers a unique and breathtaking backdrop for viewing Africa’s animals.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park - Nairobi
In the early morning, you will have a game viewing activity, then return to the camp for a full breakfast. Later on, you will be transferred back to Nairobi in the evening. You will have dinner in one of the most prestigious restaurant before you are dropped at the airport.
