Starting at: $10

  • 10 Days/ 9 Nights African Fish Eagle mid range Safari , you will explore Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti ecosystem.

    Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport

On arrival in Tanzania, you are met by your Warrior Expeditions Tanzania guide and transferred to your Lodge. The drive from the airport to the lodge in Arusha is about one hour. Overnight at karama lodge. Bed and breakfast included. https://karama-lodge.com/

Day 2: Depart to Arusha National Park

Early in the morning, depart to Arusha National Park for a morning game viewing; the park is only half an hour away and is a multi-faceted jewel that is often overlooked by the tour goers, it offers the opportunity to explore the diversity of habitants within the park. The entrance gate also leads into the montane forest that is inhabited by the blue monkeys and the turacos plus the trogons. This is the only place in the northern circuit were the black and white colobus monkey can be seen. In the afternoon, we head back to the lodge to get some leisure and relax. Overnight at karama lodge. Dinner and breakfast included.

Day 3 & 4: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, you will be driven to Tarangire National Park, the third largest national park in Tanzania. There will be many opportunities for game viewing as we drive through the park. After a stop for lunch at Tarangire Maromboi Tented Camp, you will have time to unpack and maybe rest before the afternoon game drive. Tarangire contains a range of ecosystems from grassland and woodlands in the north, to scrub and wetlands further south. The Tarangire river cuts through the park and empties into Lake Burunge in the west. Tarangire boasts one of the largest and most conspicuous elephant populations in East Africa. There are large family groups with many calves being born each year as the population continues to recover from the devastating effects of poaching in the eighties. You will see herds of elephants and experience close contact with the matriarchs, the babies, teenagers, and bulls. Your close contact will help you in understanding these incredible animals. Spend several hours surrounded by the herds and you cannot help but feel their wisdom. Tarangire is also known for its abundant baobab trees, most of which are over 400 years, old and the beautiful landscape. Overnight at Tarangire Maromboi Tented Camp. Dinner, breakfast, lunch included. http://twctanzania.com/en/accommodation/maramboi-tented-lodge/

Day 5: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

This morning after breakfast we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. We may do some shopping or stop for lunch before continuing to Lake Manyara. Much of the northern part of the park is fed by underground water from the Ngorongoro Highlands and as a result is covered in dense forest vegetation, giving the appearance of a tropical jungle. This forest is ideal habitat for elephant, bushbuck, blue monkey, and huge troops of olive baboon. Some parts are dry bush land attracting zebra, impala and giraffe, while the lakeshore provides another habitat, perfect for flamingos and other shore birds. Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge for both dinner and overnight Africa Safari Glamping. Dinner, breakfast lunch included. http://manyara-safari.com/

Day 6&7: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, we drive westwards descending onto the vast Serengeti Plains. “Serengeti” derives from the Maasai word ‘siringet’ meaning “an extended area” – description of the endless rolling plains that give these grasslands a timeless romantic beauty. The principal features of the Serengeti are its stunningly dense wildlife populations and the annual spectacle of the migration of millions of zebra and wildebeest in pursuit of water and forage as the seasons change. En route we may visit Olduvai Gorge. Here in 1959 Mary Leakey discovered an early hominid fossil, nicknamed Zinj, dated to 1.8 million years old. This discovery, and later the uncovering of a set of hominid footprints dated to 3.6 million years old, changed the way scientists thought about human evolution. After a picnic lunch we continue to central Serengeti where the Serengeti Kati Kati Tented camp is located and we will spend two nights here. Dinner, breakfast, lunch included. http://twctanzania.com/alojamiento/kati-kati-tented-camp/

Day 8: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After enjoying breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim via the scenic Masai Kopjes and also through the Villimasaba that translates seven hills and is a path less travelled with so much to discover and learn. You will get chance to see lions as they rest in the pride rocks which will be a bonus with the cheetah brothers as they hunt around the park. We shall arrive at Naabi check in the gate of Ngorongoro Conservation Area in time for having lunch.  After lunch we will drive to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for overnight, dinner, breakfast, lunch included. https://rhino.co.tz/

Day 9: Explore Ngorongoro Crater Tour– Karatu

Rise and shine! It is up at daybreak to take on the steep path leading down into the 600 m deep crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah with the occasional acacia tree here and there. The wildlife in the crater is just breath-taking and with a little luck you might see the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After an entire morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will travel to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro farm house. Dinner, breakfast, lunch included. http://twctanzania.com/en/accommodation/ngorongoro-farm-house/

Day 10: Drive back to Arusha, then fly back home!

Sadly, departure is after breakfast when we will drive back to to Karama Lodge in Arusha for hot lunch, a day room is held to allow you to relax and check out later in the day.
